Top of the Mountain Easter concert and other fun beyond the skiing
Posted January 25th, 2008 by Karen BradburyThe Top of the Mountain Concert's performer has now been announced- it's Elton John.
See the announcement here: http://www.ischgl.com/en-events-sir_elton_john-18.shtml
Although I’ve yet to make it down there for the actual event, I always eagerly anticipate the announcement of the artist who will be featured at the Top of the Mountain concert in Ischgl, Austria, an event that more or less coincides with the winding down of yet another ski season. More often than not, the performer is someone I would really enjoy seeing in concert. In recent years, Alanis Morissette, The Corrs and Pink have made appearances. Who will it be this year? The concert will be May 3, but beyond that, I’ve not seen a definitive name to date. Stay tuned, and leave us a link if you happen to stumble across reliable information.
More into the reggae scene? According to the Web site of Samnaun Tourism, Jimmy Cliff will be performing at Switzerland’s Alp Trida on April 20 as part of the Spring Snow Festival 2008.
For those who most appreciate skiing with a heavy accent on the après-ski stuff, I recently stumbled across a great list of the best parties at skiing locales in an unlikely place -- the Ryanair in-flight magazine. Check out “Snow Party -- Nine ski destinations and nine of the best festivals and party events. Do not miss!” And next time you fly Ryanair, peruse the pages of this well-put-together and entertaining publication. It’s not like they’ll be giving out anything else to read that would compete for your attention.
Where’s the best party you’ve ever found on the slopes?
