2 – Adrian Peterson: Vikings rookie is running like an old pro.

3 – Braylon Edwards: Browns WR quietly among leaders in receiving yards and TDs

4 – Antonio Cromartie: Chargers CB has three interceptions, one fumble recovery and three TDs in his last three games.

5 – Brett Favre: Packers QB looks great for a man who has retired multiple times.

Biggest disappointments, players

1 – Frank Gore: Is the 49ers RB even playing this year?

2 – Marc Bulger: Injured ribs have slowed the Rams QB, but he was awful before that.

3 – JaMarcus Russell: Not all his fault, but this year’s #1 pick still hasn’t seen any playing time.

4 – Mario Williams: Texans #1 pick last year had a great opener, but has been quiet since.

5 – Marvin Harrison: Injuries may end the Colts WR’s eight-year streak of 1,000 yards receiving
