Waiver wire, Week 4

Next week's action features the first bye weeks of the year (Tennessee, New Orleans, Washington, and Jacksonville), so be sure to scour the waiver wire early to fill in those gaps. Here are some players to consider:

James Jones, WR, Green Bay

Owned in 13.8 percent of ESPN.com fantasy leagues

The rookie wideout has improved each week so far, and with Brett Favre's recent hot hand he could become a valuable player to have on the bench. And if Donald Driver keeps getting banged around like he has in the early season, Jones could find himself seeing even more passes coming his way.

Dwayne Bowe, WR, Kansas City

Owned in 11.8 percent of ESPN.com fantasy leagues

With #1 wideout Eddie Kennison sidelined, Bowe stepped up with five catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win. No one on the Chiefs is a must start anymore, but Bowe could be a good temporary fill in.

Najeh Davenport, RB, Pittsburgh

Owned in 7.0 percent of ESPN.com fantasy leagues

Hopefully you'll have better options for running backs on your bench, but Davenport has made the most of his limited carries so far this season. In three games he has collected 136 yards on just 19 carries, and even snuck in the end zone this week for a respectable 10-point fantasy day.

Jeff King, TE, Carolina

Owned in 1.4 percent of ESPN.com fantasy leagues

Quietly King has pulled in 13 catches for 130 yards with the Panthers, and caught his first TD of the season in Sunday's win. But that score came with Jake Delhomme at QB, so keep an eye on his injury and David Carr's status before plugging him into your open TE slot.

UPDATE: Brian Leonard, RB, St. Louis

Owned in 9.0 percent of ESPN.com fantasy leagues

If he's still available on the waiver wire, grab him quick; The Rams are reporting that Steven Jackson will miss the next game with a groin pull, and possibly more. At the least, Leonard can be valuable trade bait in your league.

What do you think? Any other sleepers or gems out there that military fantasy owners should know about? Let us know.

Hidden Gems

I'm thinking of picking up Deuce McAllister. He's the best running back for the Saints, and they're bound to rebound. What do you think? It's between him and Joey Harrington. I think Harrington's got a lot of potential there in the ATL.

Too risky?

I need a QB for a keaper league.

Do your tink Kelly Holcomb would be a good pick up???!!!
