Waiver Wire, week 1

After Sunday’s action, here are more waiver wire pick-ups you should be looking for:

Chris Brown, RB, Tennessee

Owned in 31.1 percent of ESPN.com fantasy leagues

In case you missed it, his 175-yard rushing performance on Sunday was the big reason the Titans scored an opening day upset over the Jaguars. The coaching staff has said that Brown and LenDale White will continue to split carries, but stashing Brown on your bench could prove valuable later.

Brandon Marshall, WR, Denver

Don't over analyze early in the season

Since I have Reggie Wayne on one of my teams (and in my lineup), I was thrilled to see him score twice in the opener last night.

Of course, he was an easy choice to start. Others are not quite so simple.

As you scour the waiver wire to fill out your fantasy team’s bench, here are a few overlooked players who might be worth gambling on:

  • Michael Bennett, RB, Kansas City
