Fearless Football Forecast, Week 4
Posted September 19th, 2007 by Dave OrnauerAnother 5-1 week, left ORNY at 13-4 thus far this season. Apologies for the delay; here with go with the Week 4 forecast, which should feature a number of teams beating their opponents for the first time in a long time:
Friday
Japan
Zama American at American School In Japan, 7 p.m.-Not since Weeks 9 and 10 of the 2004 season have the Trojans won back-to-back games. That changes during the second-ever night game at Mustang Valley ... Zama American 17, American School In Japan 10.
South Korea
Osan American at Taegu American, 6 p.m.-Not since 2002, the last year that Youth Activities oversaw senior football on the peninsula, have the Warriors scored a victory over the Cougars -- a span of nine games. More is on the line this time, round 1 in the battle for Class A championship game host rights ... Taegu American 16, Osan American 15.
Guam
George Washington at John F. Kennedy, 7 p.m.-The oldest and most intense island rivalry in any sport resumes, with the four-time island champion Geckos prevailing over the Islanders to even their mark at 2-2 ... George Washington 18, John F. Kennedy 11.
Saturday
Japan
Yokota at Robert D. Edgren, 1 p.m.-A rare Saturday game in Japan, one of just two this season. A battle of the skills-positions stars, the Eagles' Zach Latimore and Jacque Moton vs. the Panthers' Derick Seward, Tony Presnell, Anthony McNeill and DeEric Harvin ... Yokota 21, Robert D. Edgren 17.
Guam
Simon Sanchez at Southern, 10 a.m.-Rejuvenated Sharks continue their surprising early-season run; long season continues for the long-suffering Dolphins ... Simon Sanchez 20, Southern 12.
Father Duenas Memorial vs. Guam High at Blue Jacket Field, Naval Station "Big Navy," 7 p.m.-Perhaps the biggest, most crucial game in the Panthers' 10-season history. Win, and they establish themselves as a legitimate title contender for the first time; Friars, meanwhile, hope to keep pace with Simon Sanchez ... Father Duenas Memorial 22, Guam High 21.
Your thoughts? Chime in and shout it out! And remember, you've entered THE "No-Hate Zone." *smile*

My Picks are
Japan:
Zama over ASIJ...Zama feeling good after an upset win over Edgren.
Yokota over Edgren........Should be a good game with both teams having game changing performers but at the end ; Yokota pulls through.
Korea:
Daegu over Osan......should be another wet game at Kelly Field. Expect a low scoring game, but the close encounter between the Warriors and the Falcons last weekend should pump the Warriors up...
Guam:
Simon Sanchez over Southern.......Sharks still undefeated and the Dolphins winless.
Father Duenas over Guam High.........should be a GREAT game... but i like the Frairs in this one.
