Hunt for Red Devil of a running back

That wasn't like anybody had seen since ... oh, about 10 days earlier at Misawa Air Base, where Robert D. Edgren senior Zach Latimore ran roughshod over Nile C. Kinnick to the tune of 305 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in the Eagles' 20-7 victory.

Tyree Hunt must be a quick and excellent student of Latimore's ability. After rushing for only a pedestrian 97 yards on 12 carries in that game, Hunt set off some Monday night fireworks at Camp Zama.

Try 229 yards and five touchdowns on 10 attempts.

In one half.

Kinnick rallies from 13-0 halftime deficit to roar back and win 36-20. Game, set, match.

It wasn't necessarily Hunt's numbers, but the way he attacked Zama's defense with the pumpkin under his arm. As if to say, OK, here I am, try to stop me.

The Trojans managed to do so, 50 percent of the time. The other 50 percent, Hunt was a virtuoso.

It will sure lend some drama to Friday's showdown pitting Kinnick at Yokota with first place in the Kanto Plain Association of Secondary Schools on the line.
