Pacific high school soccer Top Ten, end-of-March edition

Little movement this week, for many schools were on Easter break. Here we go:

Boys
 1. Seoul Foreign (7-0). Idle this week; next big test Wednesday against Seoul American on Rivalry Day.
 2. Kadena (2-5). Only defeat against Peru Nikei, a seriously strong club team.
 3. Christian Academy In Japan (0-0). Knights open Wednesday by hosting 5-0 Zama American.
 4. Zama American (5-0). Best start in school history.
 5. Kubasaki (1-6). Don't read too much into this. Five Dragons losses have come against adult opposition. Next test Wednesday at home vs. Kadena.
 6. Yokota (4-1). So far, so good. Jimmy Niescier is a rising star.
 7. Yongsan International-Seoul (5-1). Idle this week; Guardians return to pitch Friday vs. Osan American.
 8. Seoul American (7-1-1). Gotta overcome that Seoul Foreign squad Wednesday.
 9. Nile C. Kinnick (3-1-2). Still on a solid winning course.
10. Seoul International (3-1-1). Idle this week; hosts Osan on Wednesday in return to pitch.

Girls
 1. Seoul American (10-0). No question, this team is for real.
 2. Kadena (7-2-1). Panthers showed last Wednesday in 3-3 tie with Urasoe they can come from behind, something they've not had to do much in recent years.
 3. Kubasaki (5-2). Beware Bridget Ramirez's left foot. Deadly.
 4. American School In Japan (1-0). Mustangs return to pitch Wednesday after Easter break. But it may be now or never for ASIJ, which features mostly upperclassmen.
 5. Yokota (8-1). Best start in school history gets put to test Wednesday at Zama.
 6. Zama American (5-1). Trojans boys and girls combined have gone 10-1 to open the season. Best ever for Zama at this point.
 7. Nile C. Kinnick (4-1-2). Do not leave Brittany Evans (10 goals) unmarked.
 8. Osan American (10-2-2). Only two losses to Seoul American.
 9. Matthew C. Perry (4-3-2). Don't read too much into 0-2-1 mark last weekend in the Kanto Plain. Samurai gave up just five goals to three Class AA powers.
10. Daegu American (6-3). Warriors off to school-best start, but will go into DODDS spring break after hosting Seoul International, Seoul Foreign.

Your thoughts? Shout it out! And remember, you've entered THE "No-Hate Zone." *smile*
