People either love or hate the pronouncements of conservative columnist Ann Coulter on TV, in speeches and in a syndicated column run by about 100 newspapers. One of those newspapers is Stars and Stripes, and that fact has enlivened the letters-to-the-editor pages.

Er, duh!

On June 10th, 2007 Dave Hamilton says:

Why make Ann Coulter an issue? Why not Huffington? She disgusts me, as does Cindy Sheehan, Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, both Clintons, Maureen Dowd, Frank Rich and many other liberal losers, but I don't make a living or spend all my time trying to make sure they aren't heard as liberals typically do. I am not a great fan of Coulter, but at least she makes far more sense than any of the bozos I just mentioned.

Dave Mazzarella is in his second tour of duty as ombudsman for Stars and Stripes. Mr. Mazzarella served in this role from 2000 to 2001 before becoming the paper's editorial director.
