In a recent blog I reported on a Sacred Heart University poll of the public's views on the news media, and specifically their reporting on the Iraq war. Some readers have asked for more information from the survey.

A link to the study is not available, but here's one to the university's news release on it. It includes all major findings, including respondents' assessments of the news they receive from various news outlets.

I'm Surprised

On February 2nd, 2008 JetTx says:

Thank you for the further info, although the results seem very suspect. Perhaps I am sceptical because Sacred Heart Uni's findings don't fit in with my "version of reality" but I just can't help wondering if the term "liberal medai" hasn't been thrown around so much, that people just asume that the media is left-leaning and thus biased, and then answer the poll-takers as such.

But we musn't forget that the poll is about "views," as in perceptions, not necessarily a true measure of bias or non-bias.
