More than Band-Aids
Posted May 30th, 2007 by Terri BarnesWhen packing for summer vacation, you probably squeeze in a first aid kit. Along with that roll of adhesive tape you've never used, be sure to include a phone number in case of a medical emergency your first aid kit can't cover. The International SOS Call Center at 44-20-8762-8133 is available 24 hours 365 days a year for military families traveling anywhere in the world.

I hope you are planning some adventures for the coming months. What do you pack in your family's first aid kit? What other items do you pack for convenience? Wipes, Antibiotic gel? Allergy meds? I used to pack bathroom disinfectant when my kids were babies to clean the hotel tub before putting them in it? I'm sure I'm not the only germ-crazy parent there. How about you? What's in your suitcase?

More than Band-Aids
I am an iron fanatic! All the travel accommodations in the United States provide irons. I have not had the priviledge of traveling in Europe and I can't remember if they were provided in Korea hotels but they are a must for me and my family!
Have iron, will travel!
Hi Nancy! The hotels I have been to in Europe (just a few so far) have not had irons. If you come over here to travel -- and I hope you will -- you might want to pack an iron. You can borrow mine or buy one, but you will need to be sure that it is 220, and that you bring an adapter kit. Not all plug-ins are alike. Press on!
