That time of year again ...
Posted April 6th, 2008 by Terri BarnesEvery year, in spite of my best intentions, I find myself scrambling to put together my tax information at the beginning of April. Why do I wait so late? I have no idea.
For this week's Spouse Calls, I even wrote a column about taxes, but still I have not done my own.
If you are like me, still pulling all the information together for your 2007 returns, here are links to some information that might help:
- Information about Volunteer Income Tax Assistance on Military OneSource.
- Free access to an H&R Block tax program, also from Military OneSource.
- Directions from the IRS about how to file a 1040A for income that is not taxable, like combat zone pay. This is important this year, since you must file a 2007 tax return to be eligible for tax stimulus checks.
If you have already filed, then sit back, relax and try not to laugh at the rest of us.
